New missions are indicated by an exclamation point "!" before the mission name.Note, however, that your fleet's attack priority appears to be random, sometimes attacking the biggest first but not always. Use this to your advantage by placing a Man O' War in the less damage slot to draw enemy fire while faster ships in the other slots deal damage. Their attack priority goes Man O' War, Frigate, Brig, then Schooner. In combat, enemy ships will always target your most powerful ship first. The rest of the fleet should be a mix of Frigates and Man O' Wars. With the maximum number of docks available you should always try to keep one or two Schooners for clearing out the lowest danger routes and one or two Brigs for their increased cargo and speed. While a fleet of just Man O' Wars ensures you will meet every missions' cargo requirements, you will lose the advantage of speed offered by smaller ships.Combine this with the Schooner tactic above and you will save a lot of gems on repair costs. For example, using this tactic on routes with the lowest danger level will always eventually result in facing off against one lone gunboat. Each time you choose to do battle the ships you face will change, meaning you can keep on backing out before starting the fight until you receive a more favorable matchup (the rewards do not change for "easier" battles). If you don't like the ships you will face in a certain battle, back out of the battle and try again. This saves gemstones that might have been used to repair a slower ship if employed in the same battle. For example, battling one gunboat using a Schooner in the speed increase slot will almost always result in victory before the enemy makes a single attack. Although Man O' Wars are the toughest ships, they are not always the best for combat against faster ships and for less hazardous routes.Level 4 – North Caribbean Speed: 63 Fire Power: 12 HP: 27 Cargo Capacity: 15 Level 8 – North Caribbean Speed: 66 Fire Power: 14 HP: 29 Cargo Capacity: 15 Level 11 – South Caribbean Speed: 70 Fire Power: 15 HP: 30 Cargo Capacity: 20 Brig Level 17 – North Caribbean Speed: 54 Fire Power: 23 HP: 45 Cargo Capacity: 25 Level 20 – Navassa and Conttoyor Zones Speed: 50 Fire Power: 24 HP: 48 Cargo Capacity: 30 Level 25 – Chinchorro and Charlotte Zones Speed: 60 Fire Power: 25 HP: 50 Cargo Capacity: 35 Frigate Level 23 – Punta Guarico, Castillo De Jagua and Serranilla Zones Speed: 45 Fire Power: 32 HP: 63 Cargo Capacity: 40 Level 29 – Navassa and Charlotte Zones Speed: 48 Fire Power: 33 HP: 67 Cargo Capacity: 50 Level 38 – Chinchorro Zones, At Maximum Wanted Level Speed: 50 Fire Power: 35 HP: 70 Cargo Capacity: 50 Man O’ War Level 36 – Charlotte Zones Speed: 9 Fire Power: 63 HP: 135 Cargo Capacity: 70 Level 49 – Serranilla Zones Speed: 20 Fire Power: 67 HP: 143 Cargo Capacity: 80 Level 60 – New Bone, At Maximum Wanted Level Speed: 30 Fire Power: 70 HP: 150 Cargo Capacity: 90 The type of ship, its level, and its location in the game world are detailed below:
When they do complete, return to Kenway's Fleet to collect your Reales and unlockables. If you run out of missions, then you need to complete some battles for resources/cargo. Available missions will be highlighted for you. You must first select a route, then choose a mission in that route. Faster ships will complete missions more quickly than slower ones.
You can only send ships on missions that have the minimum amount of cargo/resources required by the mission. Unlike battles, only one ship can be sent on a mission As a result some missions will be impossible to complete without the largest ship, the Man O' War, because it is the only ship with sufficient cargo space. The more dangerous the route, the more powerful the ships you will face in battle. Shipping routes progress in danger over time from safe (green), hazardous (yellow), dangerous (orange), to treacherous (red). Enemy ships don't seem to benefit from these bonuses. Up to 3 can ships be used to battle and clear a route, with the top ship gaining a speed bonus, the middle gaining power, and the bottom gaining defense. During battle you can also lauch fire barrels to deal extra damage to enemy ships, although you only have a finite supply (more are gained from additional battles). You will then watch the battle and, if you win, you will get the resources needed to perform missions. You can then choose the ships you wish to use to do battle. This also reduces a route's danger level making successful missions more likely. You need resources (cargo) to carry out missions, and you can gain resources by battling other ships on routes.
